Dog Minding

Approx 1 hour duration at your home. (We recommend 2-3 visits per day)
Pet Minding generally takes place 7 days a week between 9am and 5pm. We can schedule visits outside of these hours upon request.

This service is conveniently offered in the comfort of the dog's own home when you are away for a period of time. It is a great alternative to boarding kennels, as dogs are generally less stressed and much happier in their own familiar surrounds. Especially when you have had to leave them for work travel, holiday or other commitments. This service is particularly well suited to those owners who travel a lot for work, take short trips or weekends away.

By caring for you dog in its own home it will also be at less risk of exposure to illness or disease from other animals in a boarding kennel. This option is also better suited to pets that may be older, are deaf, blind or suffer from illness or a disability making them unsuitable for boarding facilities.

The other added benefit you no longer need to call upon family members or neighbours to feed your animals and it saves you time in running around dropping off and picking up your pet (s) when preparing to go away.  We come to your home and you can head off knowing your pet (s) safe at home with regular visits and care.

You dog will receive individual care based on it needs and your requests.  We will aim to keep the dog happy, provide company and keep its mind off you being away.

The service package also includes a number of other benefits including some home security by ensuring that you home looks lived in while your away. Safety for both your pet and home are of priority.  (refer to the list below).

We can also cater to the feeding needs of your other pets such as cats, rabbits, mice, birds or fish.

The Pet Minding Service Package includes:

• Feeding your dog their regular diet and refreshing all water bowls.
• Administering medication (if required)
• Removal of your pets waste & poop scooping of the yard
• Putting the garbage bin out/in
• Litterbox cleaning if required
• Watering Plants
• Bringing in the newspaper and collecting mail
• Turning on/off alternating lights
• Opening and closing blinds
• Introduction meeting and assessment with both client and pet(s)
• We will also provide treats, play with your pet and give lots of love and attention.
• "A Day in the Life of My Dog" Activity Report so that you know we have been and what we did.
• A Daily SMS text message to let you know that we have visited and that your dog is safe and sound.

Dog Visits

Pet Minding generally takes place from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. We can schedule visits outside of these hours upon request.

We also offer a professional pet visiting service while you are away from home for the day and are unable to provide for your pets needs. This service is ideal when you have a new puppy, unwell/ill pet, old infirm dogs, seniors or those with special needs. You can feel comfort in knowing that your dogs will be visited, provided with attention and care, or issued with the required medication. This service is especially suited to the full time worker who is unable to head home during the day to check on their dog.

• This service includes: Home visit, fresh water, treats, love and attention. Administering medication (if required), cleaning up after the puppy (if required), other special needs as discussed. We will also brush your dogs hair and offer companionship. 
• You will receive "A Day in the Life of My Dog" Activity Report so that you know we have been and what we did.
• A SMS text message to let you know that we have visited and that your dog is safe and sound.

Ask Us: About our PawStar Pet Care Additional Services such as Basic Grooming which can include clipping of nails, hair around eyes and paws, ear cleaning and teeth brushing. We can also offer flea and worming treatments for a small additional charge.
