How do I a make a booking?
Prior to all bookings we request that you contact us to organise a time to "Meet and Greet" both you and your pet in your home. This will allow us to customise a package to suit both your needs. To save time you can complete our online booking form, however we do ask that you contact us first to ensure availability and to set up an appropriate time to discuss your needs.
Do you care for all dogs?
Yes - All Dogs are welcome including puppies. The only exception will be dogs with aggressive behaviour and those without adequate vaccination for Group Walks.
How do I pay?
Payment for most services is on the day of the booking and can be made by cash, cheque, money order or direct debit. Further details on payments are available on the booking form terms and conditions.
Do I need to drop my dog off anywhere for your services?
No. The services are provided from the convenience of your own home. We however will need to organise a copy of a key or access.
Do we need to supply anything for the dog walking service?
At PawStar Pet Care we do have leads and collars for walking, however we do recommend that your dog wears his or her own collar with ID tag. We are also happy to use a supplied lead, harnesses and wet weather coat (if required) and preferred.
What is the difference between Pet Minding and Visits?
Both minding and visits are offered in the convenience of your own home, however minding is often used by people who are travelling or will be away from home for an extended period of time. Visits are for owners who may need someone to check on their dog during the day whilst they are at work ie new puppy, old/infirm dog.
How frequent are the Pet Minding Visits?
This is entirely up to you however we do recommend at least 2 visits a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon to allow us to provide an adequate level of care and companionship.
How do your transport our dog?
Dogs will be transported securely in a comfortably modified PawStar StarWagon to scheduled appointments.
Do you still walk when the weather is bad?
Walks will be undertaken in most weather conditions, however some rescheduling may need to be done in extreme weather i.e. heat wave, storms and heavy rain.
What happens if there is an emergency?
PawStar Pet Care has Emergency procedure in place. As part of this process we will call you immediately and if we are unable to contact you we will then call your nominated Emergency Contact. You will also have signed a Vet Release Form to allow us to seek medical assistance, if required.
How do we know if you have been?
All dogs receive a Daily Activity Report and owners will receive an SMS Text Message after daily visits to let you know your dog is home safe and sound.
Services are provided primarily in the Western Suburbs of Adelaide. This pricing is for a 10 km radius from Henely Beach. Extra charges will apply for longer distances exceeding the 10 km radius.
